Fabian Urbina joined the WSPA team in November 2018 as Coordinator, California Policy. Fabian works with WSPA  members to achieve the organization’s policy and legislative goals. Fabian also staffs excise and property tax issues for WSPA across the five western states.

Prior to joining WSPA, Fabian was a Director at Mercury Public Affairs where he worked with the government affairs team. During his time with Mercury, he worked with various clients covering education reform, tech, and energy. Fabian provided research, legislative monitoring and analysis, public affairs and campaign support, as well as technical and logistical support to the firm’s government affairs team and clients. Prior to Mercury, Fabian was a legislative aide in the California State Assembly.

Fabian earned a bachelor’s degree in government from California State University, Sacramento.
